Job description

SHEfinds Media is seeking a highly motivated Email Marketing Manager to develop and implement strategic initiatives to acquire new email subscribers and establish CRM best practices to keep these users active and engaged. In this position, you will proactively conceptualize and execute campaigns with attention to the ROI of each campaign and the quality of new subscribers. You will prospect, negotiate and manage promotional campaigns with media partners to grow our email list and visits to the site. You will also be responsible for email database maintenance, including segmentation and automation.

Ideal candidates should be familiar with ESP and CRM interfaces and capabilities. You should also be familiar with popular fashion/retail e-commerce sites, women targeted blogs, relevant start-ups and recent marketing campaigns in our competitive marketplace. A general interest in women's fashion, shopping, accessories, celebrity news and popular culture is a plus, along with strong social media skills. Must be reliable and detail-oriented, possessing time management skills and the ability to juggle several projects at the same time.

Drive substantial list growth through various email acquisition initiatives.

Create tracking and reporting documents for email growth. 

Track acquisition performance and proactively present results and ideas for improvement.

Source and implement new marketing partners for sweepstakes and giveaways.

Conceptualize and execute new acquisition campaigns and optimize email capture across multiple digital platforms including desktop, social, tablet, and media.

Manage day-to-day email marketing activities including segmentation, automation and template optimization.

Optimize targeting, creatives, marketing messages, marketing spend, bids and budget allocation.

Negotiate and execute media buys for audience acquisition and analyze effectiveness.

Analyze subscriber engagement and devise/execute strategies for long-term subscriber retention and re-engagement.

Manage ESP relationship and performance

Optimize segmentation to better target readers


Must be a USA Citizen or Green Card holder.

2-3 years of related work experience within email marketing and/or audience development

Experience with Google Analytics and email metrics.

Negotiation skills to assemble multi-brand promotions.

Ability to think both creatively and strategically.

Ability to innovate and apply new consumer/industry trends in marketing executions.

Proficient with MS Office (Excel required).

Strong analytical and quantitative skills.

Knowledge of email, social media, and direct marketing methods.

Connections to relevant media partners and brands a major plus.

Ability to manage multiple projects at once.
